We want to let you know that we're committed to doing the following things to make the process as seamless as possible for everyone involved.
1. Presenting you with accurate information
We aim to present relevant and accurate information that showcases our company, our culture, our values and the role you have applied for to guide you in your decision-making process.
2. Keeping the lines of communication open
We want you to be rest assured that we would never go silent on you. We will provide you with consistent and timely communication regarding the status of your candidacy, encouraging mutual communication throughout the recruitment process.
We know that when you become a candidate, you put yourself at a certain amount of risk with your current employer. For that reason, you can go to sleep knowing that your information is secured with us
Our hiring process
To be entirely transparent, here’s what occurs when you apply for a position at Ultimus Holdings.
1. Fill an online application
All potential hires are expected to fill an application form which addresses generic and role-based questions. As soon as you send in an application for a role, the application goes in to our candidate tracking pool.
When in the pool, a recruiter in our team will carefully review your application. This process can take up to three (3) days, depending on the volume of applications received.
2. Evaluating your application and shortlisting
Your application is prudently evaluated based on evidence that validates you possess the relevant skills for the job.
Your writing and communication skills are also evaluated, along with your knowledge of Ultimus Holdings, as an organization and our products and services.
Over the years we have realized that no candidate is perfect, so we are always on the look- out for candidates who excel in one or two skills, and then build teams around these talents to supplement where colleagues aren’t as strong.
3. Virtual interview with a recruiter
After our team has carefully reviewed and shortlisted the pool of resumes to ten (10) candidates, the top ten applicants are scheduled for a virtual conversation with one of our recruiters.
At this stage you will be asked questions that dig into your relevant experience for the role applied to, and your will have the opportunity to assess whether or not Ultimus Holdings matches up with the values you want to have in an employer. Only five (5) successful candidates make it to the next stage.
4. Physical Interview with the HR team (Culture Fit Interview)
If you make it to the top five (5) candidates, you will go through a physical/virtual interview with the hiring team to ascertain if you are culturally fit for the position.
Questions that boarders around behavioral competency will be asked during this stage. We advise that you genuinely answer all questions as this helps us to understand your temperament and personality traits.
5. Physical Interview with your Line Manager(s) (Technical Interview)
If you make it to the top five (5) candidates, you will go through a physical/virtual interview with the hiring team to ascertain if you are technically fit for the position.
Some roles might require a short exercise done by you outside of the interview. Be rest assured that you will not be evaluated on skills that don’t matter.
6. Physical Interview with the VP/CEO
The next interview stage is to meet with our colleagues – The VP/ CEO, this is a friendly chat that last between twenty – thirty minutes.
Most of our employees confesses that this is the easiest of the process. We hope you also agree with the aforementioned after your interview session with them
7. Final Decision
After the final interview, a decision is reached on the best fit candidate by the hiring managers.
If multiple candidates meet our hiring criteria, we will make an offer to the first-best fit candidate including details about salary, benefits, and other important compensation details.
Hopefully, you will accept our offer and we can start working out a start date and onboarding plans. If no candidates meet the hiring criteria, we restart the process at step two.
8. Reference/Medical Check
Once a successful candidate accepts our offer, we schedule the candidate for a medical check and other onboarding process begins at this stage.
At each point in this process, we promise not to go silent on you. We strive to never go more than ten days without letting you know the status of your application.
